Long- term outpatient schizophrenia study

What is the Purpose of this Study?

This study is investigating the long-term safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of the study drug in adults with Schizophrenia with Negative symptoms.

What are Negative Symptoms that appear with Schizophrenia?

Negative symptoms are the absence of the following things that are present in most people: 

  • Lack of Facial expressions
  • Lack of Emotional Response
  • Lack of interest in the world
  • Not wanting to interact with other people (social withdrawal)
  • Inability to feel or express pleasure
  • Inability to act spontaneously
  • Decreased sense of purpose Apathy (Lack of caring)
  • Lack of Motivation

Who can participate in this Study?

You may qualify to participate in this study if:

  • You are between 18 and 65 years of age
  • You have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and have not experienced worsening or relapse of psychotic symptoms in the past 8 weeks
  • You have been taking the same oral antipsychotic medication daily for the last 8 weeks

*There are additional requirements to enroll in this study*

Why Should You Participate?

Participating in this study is 100% Voluntary. Enrolled patients will receive a new medication that may help with their current Schizophrenia diagnosis. Enrolled patients will receive all study-related procedures, medication, and laboratory services at No-Cost.
