Schizoaffective/ Schizophrenia Study

What is the purpose of this study?
This clinical study will test the effectiveness of an investigational medication related to schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder with negative symptoms.
What are Negative Symptoms?
Negative symptoms are the absence of the following things that are present in most people:
- Lack of Facial expressions
- Lack of Emotional Response
- Lack of interest in the world
- Not wanting to interact with other people (social withdrawal)
- Inability to feel or express pleasure
- Inability to act spontaneously
- Decreased sense of purpose Apathy (Lack of caring)
- Lack of Motivation
Who Can Participate?
You may Qualify if:
- You are 18-55 years of age
- Diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder and have negative symptoms
- You have had no psychiatric hospitalizations or worsening of your symptoms within the last 6 months.

Participants will be eligible to receive the following at No-Cost:
- Investigational medication
- Evaluation by a Psychiatrist
- Compensation for time
- Routine blood work and exams
